Secrets, Spies and 7/7

A conversation with Aaron Franz - 21st June 2013

Aaron of and I had an in-depth discussion about my new book, Secrets, Spies and 7/7, focusing on the psychological dimension of the attacks and how the discussion was shaped after the event.  We talked about how diversionary alternative conspiracy theories were 'seeded' just as much as the official conspiracy theory through predictive programming.

As the conversation developed we picked up on how the training exercises that foresaw the 7/7 attacks were themselves a form of predictive programming, and a testing ground for the use of pseudo media or fake news.  We concluded with a discussion of the 'intelligence failures' around the alleged bombers and three known or probable secret agents in the years leading up to the bombings.  Though we encountered some skype issues with that part of the discussion, the vast majority of what we said is audible.  Don't miss this fascinating conversation, and feel free to pick up a copy of the book to learn more.
